Tim Holley is a certified physician assistant and a New York State Society of PAs member. He received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University College of Health Professions in Pleasantville, NY, and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the State University of New York at Geneseo in Geneseo, NY. Tim is especially interested in mental health and how it intersects with physical health.
Tim was drawn to medicine after working as an EMT in New York City. He enjoyed interacting with patients, problem-solving, and feeling like he was helping people in a tangible way. During his PA training at a small family practice, he worked with a family medicine physician who had been practicing in the same community for decades. This experience demonstrated the value of building long-term relationships with patients and the trust and sense of stability that comes along with that, which solidified his decision to pursue family medicine.
Tim’s diverse experience in emergency medicine and urgent care has shaped his patient care philosophy. He firmly believes that every patient is unique and deserves a provider who will take the time to listen and understand their concerns. For Tim, building a strong rapport with his patients is a cornerstone of quality care. He empowers his patients by using education and shared decision-making, encouraging them to play an active role in their medical care. Tim’s holistic approach takes into account the various unique factors that may influence a patient’s care, and he collaborates with them to develop a care plan that is effective and aligns with their values, wants, needs, and lifestyles.
Tim is originally from Burnt Hills, NY. Outside medicine, he enjoys playing music, playing sports outdoors, gardening, and relaxing with his family.
