Steven Deserre is a certified nurse midwife who is board certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. He has over 40 years of experience in women’s health care and obstetric nursing. He received his certificate in Certified Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University, Lexington, KY, and his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Excelsior College. Being a certified nurse midwife has allowed Steven to participate in the whole childbearing process as well as the promotion of women’s GYN wellness and family planning needs. He views his role as providing safe, compassionate, effective, comprehensive, and professional care in support of a woman’s physical, emotional, and educational needs.

Steven is a native of northern New York, having relocated to the Capital region in 1987 after living and working in Houston, Texas, for several years. He resides in Glenville with his wife of more than 40 years and is the father of 3 adult children and a proud grandfather to Luke, Aiden, and Molly. He enjoys attending to his chickens, working around their suburban homestead, and recreational gun sports at his rod and gun club.
