Sarah Winkler is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner from SUNY Poly in Utica, New York. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Delhi in Delhi, New York, and her associate’s degree in nursing from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, New York. Sarah has a particular interest in disease prevention.

After working at an oncology office and seeing how amazing all the nurses and providers were, Sarah was inspired to pursue a career in medicine herself. She loves having the ability to help others and believes communication and getting to know them individually is the most important thing when treating patients.

Sarah aims to provide the best evidence-based quality care for her patients. She builds positive relationships with her patients to create the best provider-patient relationships. Being able to diagnose patients and improve their state of health brings Sarah the most satisfaction. She has found women’s health and dermatology rotations the most interesting as she focused on specific patient needs. However, Sarah enjoys taking care of all patients, and in family medicine, she can do this for a variety of patients and a variety of ages.

Outside of medicine, Sarah loves spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, and going to dinner.
