Dr. Michael Morin has called the Capital District home since 1986. After graduating from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Morin entered the combined Pediatrics/Internal Medicine Residency Program at Albany Medical Center and achieved board certification in both specialties. He then served one year as Chief Resident in pediatrics before joining the Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. Morin spent the next thirteen years as a member of the faculty of the Children’s Hospital (Associate Professor), focusing on Pediatric primary care and resident education. He and Dr. Lemons opened their private office in March 2004.
Dr. Morin’s academic interests include immunizations, asthma competency, dental health, injury prevention, breastfeeding, building resilience, the positive and negative impacts of technology, and creating healthy habits. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Morin’s advocacy activities include working with Albany County Head Start, the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Smile Train, Friends of Five Rivers, the Salvation Army and the Albany Institute of History and Art.
Dr. Morin has newborn nursery admitting privileges at Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY.
When he is not working, Dr. Morin is an avid outdoorsman, organic gardener, and craftsman.
