Karen Powers

Biography

Dr. Karen M. Powers is board certified in child neurology and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada. She had internship and residency training in neurology and pediatrics at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. Powers furthered her training as a child neurology Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. As a Fellow, she received the honor of a junior member award from the Child Neurology Society. Following her fellowship, Dr. Powers returned to the Capital Region in 2008 and has been practicing in this area since. She is interested in caring for persons with headaches and is a member of the Child Neurology Society, the American Headache Society, and the Headache Cooperative of New England.
