BHCs at Community Care Physicians are licensed mental health providers and social workers. Many are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and health care team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible.

Gloria’s experience includes working with individuals facing adjustment disorder, general anxiety disorder, depression, stress management, social anxiety, and PTSD. Her work is informed by a strong background in public health research, where she engaged with diverse populations and gained insight into the emotional and psychological struggles many people face.

Gloria additionally brings experience helping patients living with chronic health conditions. During her internship at the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York, Gloria provided therapeutic support to individuals living with epilepsy, helping them adjust to new limitations and find meaning in living with chronic health conditions. She continues to volunteer with the foundation, participating in community events and fundraisers.

Gloria was drawn to the field of mental health after years of working as a social science researcher. Through her interactions with hundreds of research participants, she realized that many people carry unresolved trauma and emotional burdens. This realization fueled her desire to provide direct support, helping individuals process their experiences and develop the tools needed for a more fulfilling life.

Her favorite part of behavioral health is witnessing her patients build confidence and clarity, knowing that their growth comes from their hard work. She sees herself as a guide and support system, empowering individuals to take charge of their healing journey.

Outside of her professional work, Gloria enjoys drawing, reading, cooking, and taking dance classes. She also loves spending time outdoors and engaging in DIY projects with friends, whether it’s gardening or learning new skills.
