Amanda Lasky is a New York State licensed physical therapist certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) by the McKenzie Institute. She is also a certified clinical instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Amanda earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2010 and her Bachelor of Arts in biology from SUNY Geneseo in 2007. She practices at Community Care Physical Therapy in Latham.
Amanda decided to pursue a career in physical therapy after attending a few physical therapy sessions with her father, who had gone back for rehabilitation following a stroke he had suffered many years earlier. She also volunteered in various physical therapy practices and rehabilitation centers. Seeing the impact physical therapists have on their patients inspired her to become a physical therapist. She is passionate about using MDT to evaluate and treat patients with spinal and extremity conditions. She also enjoys working with patients with a variety of neurological, vestibular, and balance dysfunctions.
Outside of physical therapy, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
