Dr. Simon Ouaknine is a urologist with over 15 years of experience in the urology field. He is a member of the American Urological Association. Dr. Ouaknine is fluent in French and Hebrew. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Laval University School of Medicine in Quebec, Canada, and completed a urology residency at the University of Montreal, CHUM (Centre Hospitalier Universite de Montreal) in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Ouaknine treats patients 18 years and older. He provides urology services and treats patients with the following conditions: prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, hematuria, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, circumcision, BPH, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, male infertility, Peyronie’s disease, premature ejaculation, prostatitis, varicoceles, cystoceles, interstitial cystitis. Dr. Ouaknine also performs non-invasive shockwave treatment lithotripsy (ESWL) for kidney stones at CCP’s new AAAASF (Quad A) facility within Community Care Urology – Latham (pending approval). This outpatient location offers his patients comfort, ease of parking, and lower co-pays compared to a hospital setting. Along with Community Care Urology – Latham, Dr. Ouaknine will also care for patients at Ellis Medicine in Schenectady, NY.

Dr. Ouaknine is originally from Canada. He became interested in medicine after taking his 9th-grade biology course. He likes helping and being part of the healing process. Dr. Ouaknine was attracted to the urology field because of the possibility of helping patients both surgically and medically. He loves being able to contribute to his patients’ overall improvement and performing surgeries. Dr. Ouaknine believes giving his patients the time to express themselves and ensuring they are understood are most important for quality care. He is a detail-orientated and thorough multidisciplinary physician. Dr. Ouaknine is interested in disease prevention and uro-oncology.
