Dr. Joseph Giampa is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Giampa completed a neuroradiology fellowship at Yale and a radiology residency at the Atlantic Health System – Morristown Medical Center. Dr. Giampa received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. He has several affiliations, including the American Board of Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Giampa has participated in research with publications on Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and Powassan virus. His favorite part of his job is working with radiology residents, teaching, and interacting with clinical colleagues. He also participated in many community events and activities, including but not limited to the American Association for Cancer Research Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon, Taking Strides Towards a Cure (Crohn’s and Colitis) Horse Show, Wounded Warrior Project Truck Pull, and Corn-hole Classic Down Syndrome Fundraiser.
He is available for consultation in all facets of neuro-imaging imaging and is particularly interested in functional MRI and vessel wall imaging.
In his spare time, Dr. Giampa enjoys snowboarding and skiing, running, racquetball, tennis, and traveling.
