Daniel Perico is a Mental Health Counselor and works as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) in Integrated Behavioral Health. BHCs at Community Care Physicians are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and healthcare team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible.
Daniel has experience providing counseling to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, young adults, and older adults. His clinical experience includes working with depression and anxiety, self-esteem and self-worth issues, emotional regulation difficulties, relational and everyday stressors.
Before pursuing counseling, Daniel served as a preventive social worker with Youth Advocate Programs, a nonprofit organization that partners with New York State Child Protective Services. In this role, he advocated for at-risk youth and their families. This experience deepened his understanding of how systemic and daily life stressors impact mental health and inspired him to pursue counseling to support lasting, meaningful change in people’s lives. Daniel’s favorite part of his job is empowering people to grow and make positive changes in their lives. He values building genuine connections and helping individuals take steps toward healing and personal development.
Outside work, Daniel enjoys staying active and adventurous. He loves traveling, spending time outdoors, and unwinding on his motorcycle. His hobbies include going to the gym, playing sports, reading, writing, listening to music, watching TV, and playing video games. He cherishes time with his loved ones—including his cat, Rigatoni, who adds a playful spark to daily life.
