Laura Arenz, FNP-BC is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Association. She received her Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner from the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. Laura began her nursing studies at the University of Vermont, earning her bachelor’s degree and a Certificate of Science. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and psychology from Trinity College in Burlington, VT.
Laura is originally from Hinesburg, VT, but has moved to the Capital Region area to further her medical career. She has always been drawn to practice medicine and went back to school despite having an education degree because healthcare was ultimately what she wanted to do in life. Before returning to school, Laura was a research coordinator for women’s health. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and making a difference in their lives. She believes communication is extremely important. Furthermore, treating the patient holistically rather than just a particular part that is being assessed.
Laura enjoys camping and hiking with her husband, and reading in her spare time. She has three grown children and two grandchildren.
