Alexandra (Ali) Watson, PharmD, BCACP, is board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy, completing her residency program at Albany Stratton Veteran Affairs Medical Center.
Ali loves to educate her patients as well as future pharmacists! She is an assistant professor in the department of pharmacy practice at Albany College of Pharmacy, where she teaches a pharmacy skills laboratory and a workshop. In this workshop, students review complex patient cases to make medication recommendations and review drug information literature.
Ali says the best part of her job is working directly with patients to explain the role of the medication in their treatment. She feels that if patients have a strong understanding of how medications work and the reasons it is recommended, they will have more control over their health.
Ali enjoys spending time with family, gardening, reading, and baking in her spare time.
