Dr. Rebecca Mele grew up in Gardiner, New York. She began her medical journey in the back of a volunteer ambulance, where her experiences as an EMT sparked a deep passion for medicine and a commitment to preventative medicine.
She left New York to attend the University of Vermont, where she studied Biological Sciences, before continuing to the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. She is excited to return to New York to continue her training and serve a community close to the one she grew up in. Drawn to family medicine for its versatility and emphasis on continuity of care, Dr. Mele values the opportunity to form lasting relationships with her patients. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and women’s health.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, skiing, baking, and traveling to new places with her partner!
