Michael Dollard is a certified physician assistant. He completed physician assistant school at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, and received his Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Albany in Albany, NY. Michael’s previous experience includes serving as a physician assistant in Lansingburgh, NY, and at Schenectady Family Health Services in Schenectady, NY. In addition, he has served as a physician assistant in the urgent care/emergency department at Albany Medical Center. Michael is also a retired member of the US Army, having attained the rank of Major.
When Michael was working in an administrative role at the Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA, he fell in love with medicine. During this time, he decided he wanted to get into the care delivery end of medicine and pursue PA school. Michael chose healthcare as a way to be able to help people in a significant way: to empower them to take care of their health. He has a particular interest in disease prevention, family medicine, diabetes, and addiction medicine.
Michael is originally from Caledonia, NY. He is involved in our community by volunteering at his local parish, St. Vincent DePaul Church in Albany, NY. When he isn’t seeing patients, he spends most of his time with his family and dogs, going outdoors, and watching his daughter’s college lacrosse team.
