EMR Upgrade throughout the weekend: CCP will be completing a scheduled upgrade to our electronic medical record (EMR) system to help enhance and support your care experience. Our practices remain accessible, on-call providers continue to be available, and Latham Urgent Care will remain open for urgent medical needs. Most of this work is happening behind the scenes. If you receive care this weekend, you likely won’t notice any difference, other than occasionally confirming information to ensure we have the most accurate details for your care. We appreciate your patience.

 

If you visit Urgent Care this weekend, it would be helpful to bring a current list of your medications. You should also expect paper prescriptions rather than electronic prescriptions during portions of the upgrade. Any other office-specific changes or instructions will be communicated directly by your practice, if needed. Please check your practice’s website for the latest updates.

Biography

Marisa Johnson is a Mental Health Counselor and works as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) in Integrated Behavioral Health. BHCs at Community Care Physicians are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and healthcare team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible. Marisa is a member of the American Psychological Association and Mental Health Counselors Association of New York.

Marisa’s favorite aspect of being a BHC is not knowing what each day will bring. She enjoys supporting a variety of different people with different challenges, from grief and PTSD to personality disorders and depression. Marisa is interested in various types of treatment, like cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. When providing care to patients, she likes getting to know patients, making a connection with them, and learning about their lives.

In her spare time, Marisa enjoys baking and finding ways to be creative. She also has a love for animals, primarily rescue animals, having rescued three herself.
