After completing medical school at The University of Tennessee, Memphis, and finishing his residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. Lev Barats joined the US Air Force as a primary care physician. He provided care to active duty as well as the dependent population. During his service, he was also involved with the NATO chemical warfare and nuclear monitoring program as well as serving as a translator for several European missions. His medical duties included directorship at a regional medical center of the 20th USAF Medical Group.
Dr. Barats is currently in private practice in Slingerlands, Albany County, NY, where he is passionate about preventive care and promoting a healthy lifestyle for his patients.
