Biography

After completing medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and finishing his residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. Lev Barats joined the US Air Force as a primary care physician. He provided care to active duty as well as the dependent population. During his service, he was also involved in the NATO chemical warfare and nuclear monitoring program and served as a translator for several European missions. His medical duties included serving as director of a regional medical center for the 20th USAF Medical Group.

Dr. Barats is currently in private practice in Slingerlands, Albany County, NY, where he is passionate about preventive care and promoting a healthy lifestyle for his patients. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physicians.
