Biography

Laura LeCours, MD, FAAP, is board certified in pediatrics. She graduated from Albany Medical College with her medical degree and completed her internship and residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Dr. LeCours knew early in high school that she wanted to be a pediatrician, following in her father’s footsteps. She spent countless hours “helping” him in the office, on rounds at Saratoga Hospital, and then working at the practice during college. She knew she had a passion to continue caring for the children in the Saratoga community and started on her path in medicine.

With a special interest in areas of infectious disease and their prevention, Dr. LeCours follows closely with the continued development of various vaccines and how they work. The COVID pandemic has been a challenge!

Dr. LeCours has been affiliated with Saratoga Hospital and is currently with Albany Medical Center as a mentor to medical students who come to the practice as part of their 3rd-year rotations.

She stays active in her community in various ways, including through her church, the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church. Dr. LeCours sings alto in her church choir and is currently the Lay Leader.  She continues to be proud of the adults her children have become and is the proud Grandmother of three!  Other interests include exploring the Adirondacks by walking, hiking, kayaking, and amateur bird watching!
