EMR Upgrade throughout the weekend: CCP will be completing a scheduled upgrade to our electronic medical record (EMR) system to help enhance and support your care experience. Our practices remain accessible, on-call providers continue to be available, and Latham Urgent Care will remain open for urgent medical needs. Most of this work is happening behind the scenes. If you receive care this weekend, you likely won’t notice any difference, other than occasionally confirming information to ensure we have the most accurate details for your care. We appreciate your patience.

If you visit Urgent Care this weekend, it would be helpful to bring a current list of your medications. You should also expect paper prescriptions rather than electronic prescriptions during portions of the upgrade. Any other office-specific changes or instructions will be communicated directly by your practice, if needed. Please check your practice’s website for the latest updates.

Katie Moran

LMHC

Biography

Katie Moran is a Mental Health Counselor and works as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) in Integrated Behavioral Health. BHCs at Community Care Physicians are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and healthcare team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible. Katie is a member of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association.

Katie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child development and family relations at the University of Maine. She earned her master’s degree in counseling and community psychology with a certificate in forensic mental health at Russell Sage College.

Katie has a background working with a diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. She has experience treating PTSD, anxiety, and depression and providing parenting skills for parents and caregivers. Katie has provided therapy primarily to children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as their parents and caregivers. She also worked alongside social services to help connect individuals and their families to mental health services that meet their diverse and unique needs.

Katie became interested in psychology and counseling during undergrad, but it was not until graduate school that she began her research and interest in behavioral health and integrated care. After working with children and their families to address trauma and behavioral concerns, Katie realized how influential and vital integrated behavioral health and a collaborative team can be in treating the person as a “whole.” She loves working with a collaborative and multidisciplinary team. Her favorite part is working with patients, alongside a whole team of practitioners, to ensure that all patients’ needs and wants are met. Katie also enjoys being a part of a field that helps address mental health stigma and barriers that impact those in our communities.

Outside of helping patients, Katie enjoys being outdoors, camping and hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
