Kathryn Forti

Biography

Dr. Kathryn Forti is a board-certified family medicine physician committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients across every stage of life. She values building long-term relationships with her patients and believes that listening carefully and maintaining clear communication are the foundation of exceptional care. Dr. Forti enjoys partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals while supporting their overall well-being.

Dr. Forti earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Oneonta before receiving her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Northwell Health Plainview Family Medicine Residency in Plainview, New York.

During medical school, Dr. Forti discovered that family medicine was the perfect fit because it allowed her to care for a wide variety of patients and conditions. A rural family medicine rotation further reinforced her passion for the specialty, where she witnessed the meaningful, long-term relationships physicians developed with their patients. She has a particular interest in caring for older adults, managing complex medical conditions, and helping patients reach their personal health goals.

Originally from Knox, New York, Dr. Forti returned to the Capital Region after completing her medical training to be closer to family. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and hiking at Thacher State Park.
