Community Care Physicians (CCP) did not have a security incident. Our systems were not compromised.
Change Healthcare, which was previously a payment processing vendor for our billing system, Veradigm, did have a security incident. This past relationship is why CCP was named in letters our patients received.
If you have questions, patients can call Change Healthcare at 1-866-262-5342, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, CT. Change Healthcare is offering patients the option to sign up for free credit protection. Please follow the instructions in your letter.

Bellame Bower is a certified physician assistant. She cares for adults at CapitalCare Pulmonary Medicine and Tech Valley Sleep Center in Niskayuna, NY. Bellame earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Pi Alpha honor society. She began her studies at the State University of New York at Albany, NY, receiving her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in psychology. Bellame is a member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

For Bellame, the decision to seek a career in health care was not defined by a pivotal moment, but rather by her innate caring personality and a lifelong pursuit of medicine. Her favorite part of being a physician assistant is not just getting to know her patients, but also the thrill of problem-solving with them. She says, “Knowing I’ve made a difference for each patient is what keeps me going.” In Bellame’s opinion, the most important thing she does when caring for patients is listening fully and reviewing each patient holistically. She believes it is so important to recognize that each person is unique and give them the time required to truly assess and treat their condition. She loves getting to know her patients over time and establishing a trusting rapport with them. Throughout all her training and education, she has learned that it is vital to have an open mind and learn from patients and coworkers.

Originally from the Albany area, Bellame returned home after her schooling to serve her community. This dedication to her roots is a testament to her commitment and care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, reading a variety of books, and traveling near and far.
