Amanda Turner is a certified physician assistant and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. Amanda began her studies at The College of Saint Rose, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
As a physician assistant, Amanda loves interacting with patients and building meaningful relationships. She believes listening to their complaints and validating their concerns are most important. Amanda wants her patients to feel comfortable coming to her with any concerns they may have. She has a particular interest in disease prevention. She believes it is easier for patients to prevent diseases than treat them. Amanda looks forward to helping patients develop healthy lifestyles and participate in the recommended routine screening to stay in control of their health. Her care philosophy is to treat each patient as if they were her parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. She believes everyone deserves a provider who is looking out for their best interest.
Amanda is originally from Averill Park, NY, and has always loved the Capital Region and surrounding areas, so she knew she wanted to start her medical career here. Amanda’s favorite things about the Capital Region are all the local restaurants and the close proximity to all the lakes.
