Traditionally, behavioral health issues have been treated separately from physical health issues. Now, this distinction doesn’t always exist. Our mind and body are connected, and your care should reflect that.

The behavioral health services at Community Care Physicians are unique. We have licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, behavioral health consultants, and board-certified psychiatrists integrated into many of our practices as a part of your primary care team across the Capital Region, NY. Our behavioral health providers also care for patients outside of our practices through telemedicine (virtually through a video visit) as appropriate.

Community Care Physicians’ behavioral health providers assist with mental health issues, stress, coping, behavior and lifestyle change, and the behavioral management of chronic disease. Our psychiatrists are focused on medication management for all ages (including pediatrics) specific to the following conditions: anxiety/panic disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, borderline personality disorder, depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, insomnias, bipolar, disruptive, impulse-control and conduct disorder, neurodevelopmental disorder, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, somatic symptoms, elimination disorders, gender dysphoria, medication-induced movement disorders and other adverse effects of medication.
