Dr. Zachary H. Passaretti, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Urology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems of the male and female urinary tract and stone disease. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the NYS Medical Society. Dr. Passaretti received his medical degree from the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, VA. He completed his internship and residency at Eastern Virginia Medical Authority in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Passaretti began his studies at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, earning his bachelor’s degree. He cares for patients 18 years of age and older and performs some minor urological surgical procedures in-office, including vasectomy, cystoscopies, and prostate biopsy.
When caring for patients, Dr. Passaretti engages the patient and their families in the decision-making process and levels with them on the nature and severity of their health problem to make informed and effective decisions on how to proceed with treatment.
Dr. Passaretti is originally from the Capital Region area and returned to join his father in practice in 1986. His favorite memory is the first major surgical procedure he and his father performed together. Outside medicine, Dr. Passaretti enjoys golfing, skiing, and playing piano.
