Tiffany Disher, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in Internal Medicine who is passionate about building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. She values taking the time to listen, understand each patient’s concerns and health goals, and provide care tailored to their needs.
Tiffany began her career in urgent care after completing her physician assistant training, where she enjoyed the variety of patients and medical conditions she encountered. Through that experience, she discovered that what she valued most was getting to know her patients and building relationships with them beyond a single visit. This realization led her to pursue a career focused on comprehensive, continuous care.
Her clinical training at Marist College further shaped her approach to medicine. During her clinical rotations in women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, and neonatal intensive care, Tiffany developed an appreciation for the many different aspects of patient care. Her family medicine rotation particularly stood out because it allowed her to balance preventive care, chronic conditions, and acute concerns while building relationships with patients over time.
Tiffany has a particular interest in women’s health and values the opportunity to support women through different stages of life. Her interest is also personal, as a strong family history of breast cancer has given her a deeper appreciation for the importance of preventive care, screening, early detection, and patient education. She strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns and feel confident in their healthcare decisions.
Tiffany earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Plattsburgh and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marist College.
For Tiffany, one of the most important parts of caring for patients is truly listening. She believes patients should feel heard and understood, rather than feeling like just another appointment on the schedule. By taking the time to listen and build trust, she hopes to help patients feel comfortable, engaged, and supported in their healthcare.
Outside of medicine, Tiffany enjoys spending uninterrupted time with her family. She and her husband are raising their young daughter and Red Labrador, Major, in the Capital Region.
