Susan Stein is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Partners in Family Medicine North Greenbush in Troy, NY. She has provided primary care to patients for over 25 years! Susan received her advanced nursing degree at The Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY. She began her nursing studies at Charles Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY, where she received her RN certificate and received her Bachelor of Science at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, NY. Following this, she practiced as a school nurse in the Delhi Central School District and was a Clinical Instructor at the SUNY Delhi Nursing Program in Delhi, NY. Susan is particularly interested in prevention and wellness, diet therapy, and promoting exercise and movement.
Susan was first introduced to the nurse practitioner position while working as a nurse in a hospital setting. After learning more about the role and responsibilities of being a nurse practitioner, she decided to pursue this position and help patients even more. What Susan loves most about working in family medicine is treating a wide range of patients, from babies to grandparents. She enjoys interacting with patients, talking about their lives, and watching them grow.
Originally from Delhi, Susan loves to ride horses on her farm and go on trail rides. She also raises chickens, tends to her organic garden, and enjoys hot yoga and spending time with family and her grandchildren.
