EMR Upgrade throughout the weekend: CCP will be completing a scheduled upgrade to our electronic medical record (EMR) system to help enhance and support your care experience. Our practices remain accessible, on-call providers continue to be available, and Latham Urgent Care will remain open for urgent medical needs. Most of this work is happening behind the scenes. If you receive care this weekend, you likely won’t notice any difference, other than occasionally confirming information to ensure we have the most accurate details for your care. We appreciate your patience.

 

If you visit Urgent Care this weekend, it would be helpful to bring a current list of your medications. You should also expect paper prescriptions rather than electronic prescriptions during portions of the upgrade. Any other office-specific changes or instructions will be communicated directly by your practice, if needed. Please check your practice’s website for the latest updates.

Biography

Shauna Paris is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). Shauna received her Master of Science in nursing from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY. She began her nursing studies at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, NY, earning an Associate of Science. Shauna treats children from birth to 21 years old at CapitalCare Developmental Pediatrics and CapitalCare Pediatrics Troy. She is interested in children’s development.

When looking at colleges and figuring out what’s next post-high school, Shauna was immediately drawn to healthcare. She never pictured herself in any other area of profession. Shauna loves working with families and seeing the growth and progress children make over the years. She believes getting to know the patient as a whole and working with parents to help children succeed and grow to the best they can be is vital for quality care. Shauna is very dedicated to working closely with families and being a part of her patient’s growth and progression.

Shauna is originally from the Capital District. She enjoys being active, participating in group fitness, traveling with friends, and spending time with her dog!
