Originally from Natick, Massachusetts, Dr. Samantha Stone is a resident at Albany Family Medicine. She studied Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, where she began her medical journey as a biking EMT. After graduation, she taught high school chemistry in Oakland, CA, through Teach for America before attending the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. There, she was part of the Population-based Urban and Rural Community Health (PURCH) track, focused on community health and health equity in underserved settings. Dr. Stone chose family medicine for its focus on whole-person care, continuity, and community engagement, as well as the ability to practice full-spectrum care. During her time in medical school, she volunteered at free clinics, served on educational committees, and co-founded a peer support group for students. She is excited to continue this work in Albany, where she looks forward to caring for individuals and families of all backgrounds. Her clinical interests include adolescent medicine, reproductive health, and medical education.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys salsa and bachata dancing, singing, and hosting book clubs and potlucks. She also loves getting outside to hike, climb, and play softball (go Red Sox!).
