EMR Upgrade throughout the weekend: CCP will be completing a scheduled upgrade to our electronic medical record (EMR) system to help enhance and support your care experience. Our practices remain accessible, on-call providers continue to be available, and Latham Urgent Care will remain open for urgent medical needs. Most of this work is happening behind the scenes. If you receive care this weekend, you likely won’t notice any difference, other than occasionally confirming information to ensure we have the most accurate details for your care. We appreciate your patience.

 

If you visit Urgent Care this weekend, it would be helpful to bring a current list of your medications. You should also expect paper prescriptions rather than electronic prescriptions during portions of the upgrade. Any other office-specific changes or instructions will be communicated directly by your practice, if needed. Please check your practice’s website for the latest updates.

Matthew Spellman

Biography

Matthew Spellman is a certified physician assistant who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to all ages in Niskayuna, NY. He brings more than four years of clinical experience from a high-volume tertiary care emergency department, where he cared for patients with a wide range of acute and complex conditions. Matthew earned his Master of Clinical Medical Science from Barry University Physician Assistant Program and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York.

Before transitioning to primary care, Matthew practiced at a local hospital where he rapidly assessed and treated patients with conditions including traumatic injuries, cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, stroke, sepsis, and acute psychiatric illness. His work in a fast-paced emergency setting strengthened his ability to make thoughtful clinical decisions, communicate clearly with patients and care teams, and deliver efficient, high-quality care even in demanding circumstances.

Matthew values building meaningful relationships with patients and believes that education and collaboration are essential to good health. He takes time to listen, ensuring patients understand their conditions and feel confident participating in decisions about their care. Matthew is committed to providing compassionate, accessible care that supports the long-term health and well-being of the patients and families he serves.
