Mary began her nursing studies at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY, earning an Associate of Science in nursing. She furthered her studies and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY.
Mary initially became a nurse at her mother’s encouragement, as she thought it would be a rewarding career for her. Over the years, Mary has indeed found the career rewarding, since she gets to care for people when they need it most. Her main goal as a health care provider is to relieve her patients’ anxieties related to their healthcare issues, diseases, and disorders. She focuses on communication, ensuring patients are involved in their specific care plans to determine their healthcare needs as a team. Mary decided to become a Nurse Practitioner to better serve her patients because diagnosing and treating complex medical issues brings her the most satisfaction professionally.
In her free time, Mary enjoys the outdoors through camping and boating. She cherishes her time with family, friends, and her dog, Scout, outside of work.
