Dr. Lorraine Lemons is board certified in pediatrics. After receiving her medical degree with honors from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Lemons completed her residency program at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. She was then a member of the faculty of Albany Medical College in the Department of Ambulatory Pediatrics for three years before opening the current practice known as CapitalCare Pediatrics Albany with Dr. Michael Morin. Dr. Lemons served as an Assistant Professor and a mentor to medical students and residents in general pediatrics while coordinating adolescent medicine services and resident education for the Department of Pediatrics. On top of her regular duties, Dr. Lemons serves as the Site Medical Manager at her office.
As a child, Dr. Lemons was interested in helping and educating others. Her mother thought she would be a good “baby doctor,” so being in pediatrics is a nice way to combine working with children, educating families, and helping them through difficult times when needed. Her expertise lies in weight management, building self-esteem, child safety, support of new parents, and adolescent care. Dr. Lemons truly believes that every aspect of a child’s life plays a role in their health and wellbeing, which is why she is so passionate about her work and her patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lemons continues to make a difference in her community by being an active member of the Delmar Reformed Church. She enjoys reading, watching movies, knitting, and staying active by playing tennis! Her family is a huge part of her life, and she enjoys every minute spent with them, including her husband, Don, their daughter, Isabella, and their dachshund, Beans.
