Leah Prescott, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing adult primary care at Saratoga Medical Associates. With a background in nursing and advanced training in family medicine, Leah is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with her patients.
Leah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State, the American Nurses Association, and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland.
Leah was drawn to healthcare from an early age, inspired by her mother, who worked as a nurse and case manager. Her years of nursing experience, followed by her training in family medicine, reinforced her belief in caring for the whole person rather than simply treating a diagnosis. She particularly enjoys preventive care, cardiovascular health, and women’s health, and finds great fulfillment in educating patients and partnering with them to make informed decisions about their long-term health.
Her approach to care centers on listening first, educating patients clearly, and involving patients in their care. Leah believes every patient deserves to feel heard and understood, and she works collaboratively with patients to develop individualized care plans that reflect their health needs, values, and goals.
A native of Saratoga Springs, Leah, returned to the Capital Region after spending several years in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. She is grateful for the opportunity to care for the community that has always been home. Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local nature trails and discovering new restaurants. She also enjoys rowing and previously coached crew at Skidmore College.
