Dr. Elizabeth Jacob received her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts in biology, human physiology at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. She completed her general surgery residency at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY, and later her fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Valley Health Hospital in Paramus, NJ. She is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and speaks conversational Spanish. Along with caring for adult patients at Community Care General Surgery in Latham, NY, she also treats patients at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. Dr. Jacob enjoys quality improvement research and is interested in minimally invasive surgery, specifically robotic general surgery.
Dr. Jacob is originally from Boston, MA. Outside of medicine, she enjoys photography and playing guitar.
