Elisabeth “Lisa” LaBrie, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages at Family Practice River Road. She is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and delivering personalized, preventive care that supports lifelong health and wellness.
Lisa earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, New York, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through SUNY Delhi’s RN-to-BSN program in Delhi, New York. She later received her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Binghamton University, State University of New York. Her clinical training included rotations in women’s health, pediatrics, and internal medicine.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Lisa worked as an ICU registered nurse. During that time, she saw firsthand how gaps in preventive and primary care could contribute to serious health conditions. Those experiences inspired her to advance her education and pursue a career focused on helping patients achieve optimal health through proactive, patient-centered care.
Lisa has a particular interest in chronic disease management and women’s health. She values partnering with patients to help them better understand their health, make informed decisions, and reach their wellness goals. Her favorite part of practicing medicine is developing trusting relationships with patients and serving as their advocate throughout their healthcare journey.
A lifelong resident of New York’s Capital Region, Lisa is grateful for the opportunity to care for members of the community she calls home. She believes one of the most important aspects of healthcare is empowering patients to advocate for themselves and actively participate in their care.
She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANA-ANCC).
