Courtney began her studies at Quinnipiac University, earning her Bachelor of Health Science. She is interested in nutrition, how a healthy diet affects our overall health and mental health.
Courtney always knew she wanted to find a career where she could help people and has always found joy in working with children. After taking an anatomy and physiology class in high school, she knew she wanted to learn more about the human body and pursue a career in medicine. Courtney loves outpatient pediatrics because she values developing long-lasting relationships with families and patients.
Courtney’s favorite part of the job is watching kids learn new things, grow and develop over time. She feels it is such a privilege to be a part of this process. Courtney believes the most crucial part of caring for a patient is truly listening. She takes the time to listen to what a patient or family has to say and works with them as a team to create a treatment plan. One thing that satisfies Courtney professionally is working with patients who are struggling with mental health and seeing them progress towards overcoming that struggle.
Courtney is originally from Dalton, Massachusetts, in the Berkshires. She likes to spend a lot of her free time outside enjoying nature. She and her husband and their dog Scout enjoy hiking and snowshoeing. Courtney also enjoys skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking. When she’s not outside, you’ll likely find her relaxing with a good book.
