Biography

Christina Paddon is a family nurse practitioner. At CCP, she is a member of the Clinical Services team and supports their initiative to broaden access to Medicare Wellness visits to patients remotely and telephonically. In addition, Christina has provided educational presentations to the Transition of Care staff regarding varying areas, including sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and acute kidney disease. She also works to expand the weight loss management program. Christina completed her schooling at The Sage Colleges in Albany, NY, earning her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. She is also a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Christina believes that medicine chose her. Caring for others has always been an innate part of who she is fundamentally, and nursing was the most obvious choice to utilize her drive to help others daily in her career pursuits. As a Registered Nurse in 2010, she went on a medical mission trip to Uganda, Africa. During the team’s ten-day mission, Christina cared for patients from birth to death, from sunup to sundown, at an orphanage. This experience has influenced her to take her career to the next level and help patients on a more autonomous level by pursuing her advanced nursing degree. Christina’s favorite part of being a healthcare provider is making a lasting impact on health outcomes, which positively impacts patients, their families, and the community as a whole. The most important thing Christina does when caring for patients is to assist them in being an active stakeholder in their overall health. She believes everyone wants to be a healthier version of themselves, and most people face challenges that hinder their goals. Through identifying those barriers and problem-solving with patients as a team, Christina and her patients can develop a plan to meet their individualized healthcare goals.

If you are looking for a provider with individualized, compassionate care, motivated to help you become a healthy version of yourself and who acts as a resource to make more informed lifestyle choices, Christina is the nurse practitioner for you.

Christina is originally from Colonie, NY. With her family around and her love for all four seasons, she decided to continue to build her life and career in the Capital Region. In 2021, Christina became a volunteer at Hive of Hope in Albany, NY, a non-profit specializing in recreation for those in recovery from substance use. Addiction is an area close to her heart as she believes it is a growing concern for our communities, and support services are greatly needed. Outside work, Christina enjoys making memories with her family, skiing, kayaking, reading any book she can get her hands on, and traveling to new places!
