Dr. Anthony Malone is board certified in pediatrics and developmental-behavioral pediatrics. He has extensive experience in the care of special needs children. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, and began his studies at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Malone completed his residency in pediatrics and his fellowship in developmental disabilities at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
Dr. Malone is the co-founder of CapitalCare Developmental Pediatrics in Latham, New York, and is a Clinical Associate Professor in pediatrics at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.
Dr. Malone decided to pursue a career in pediatrics with special needs when he was a freshman in college and working as a camp counselor for children with physical disabilities. His areas of particular interest include Autism, adoption, special needs children, and Down Syndrome. What he loves most about his job is explaining and teaching children, families, and professionals.
Dr. Malone is involved in our community by being an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, as well as leading international medical missions. He is chair of the upstate chapter’s Committee on Children with Disability of the American Academy of Pediatrics, He has won many local and national awards concerning his work in pediatrics and developmental disabilities.
When Dr. Malone isn’t busy seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and telling them stories. You also may find him walking, gardening, and honing his photography skills.
