EMR Upgrade throughout the weekend: CCP will be completing a scheduled upgrade to our electronic medical record (EMR) system to help enhance and support your care experience. Our practices remain accessible, on-call providers continue to be available, and Latham Urgent Care will remain open for urgent medical needs. Most of this work is happening behind the scenes. If you receive care this weekend, you likely won’t notice any difference, other than occasionally confirming information to ensure we have the most accurate details for your care. We appreciate your patience.

If you visit Urgent Care this weekend, it would be helpful to bring a current list of your medications. You should also expect paper prescriptions rather than electronic prescriptions during portions of the upgrade. Any other office-specific changes or instructions will be communicated directly by your practice, if needed. Please check your practice’s website for the latest updates.

Biography

Amanda Fetter is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. She practices at Community Care Family Practice in Niskayuna, where she provides care for patients of all ages. Amanda began her nursing education at St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Amanda has been involved in healthcare since the age of 15, with early experiences as a volunteer and patient care technician shaping her passion for compassionate, patient-centered care. Her career includes nearly a decade working in dialysis, where she formed deep, lasting connections with patients and developed a strong foundation in chronic care management. This commitment to building trust and treating the whole person inspired her to pursue advanced practice in family medicine.

Amanda is particularly interested in women’s health, hormonal balance, preventive and lifestyle medicine, mental health, and care for chronic illnesses. She believes deeply in the importance of listening to her patients and understanding their unique needs—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Her approach to care focuses on addressing the root causes of health issues, rather than just their symptoms, and she strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Amanda finds the greatest fulfillment in witnessing patients reconnect with their resilience and take confident steps toward better health. For those seeking a provider who blends evidence-based care with compassion and deep listening, Amanda is honored to walk that path alongside them.

Originally from New York, Amanda was raised in a community that emphasized service and compassion. She chose to practice in this region because of its diverse population and the opportunity to deliver whole-person care. She is passionate about promoting culturally competent care and creating a safe, inclusive space for all patients.

Outside of medicine, Amanda enjoys traveling to Europe with her partner, practicing yoga and Pilates, hiking, skiing, and cooking. She is also actively involved in community service, having volunteered with the Regional Food Bank, Kingsway Arms Nursing Home, Double H Ranch, and local animal-related events, such as APF Woofstock and the Fur Ball auction and gala.
