A board-certified pediatrician at Community Care Pediatrics – Latham, Dr. Amanda Dvorscak is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her internship and residency were completed right in Albany, New York, at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Dvorscak is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Capital District Pediatric Society. Her areas of interest include obesity prevention, nutrition, and fitness. Dr. Dvorscak has a personal connection to nutrition and fitness as she herself stays active in her leisure time.
I feel as a primary care physician it’s my job to treat the whole person. There are many things that we can teach our children that will guide them towards a healthy lifestyle. I feel that moving our bodies and healthy food choices are some of the best treatments to prevent chronic illness.
Dr. Dvorscak knew in college she wanted to become a doctor, and she hasn’t wanted to do anything else since. She truly loves watching her patients grow and develop.
When she’s not working, you can find her doing CrossFit or training for her next powerlifting competition. Dr. Dvorscak utilizes her skills from the gym to coach the Special Olympics Powerlifting team, something she is extremely passionate about. Aside from health and wellness, she loves traveling with her family and enjoying the world around her.
