We are proud to announce that eight Community Care practitioners have been named this year’s “Best Doctors in America” by Capital Region Living magazine. Capital Region Living is a local publication that works with Best Doctors to publish a list of top doctors in the area selected by their peers. Physicians who were previously on the Best Doctors list were polled for their insights to help determine which physicians should be recognized next. Dr. Bradley FordCapitalCare Pediatrics Guilderland

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Ford has practiced Pediatrics for more than 30 years. After earning his medical degree at Albany Medical College, Dr. Ford completed the pediatric residency program at Albany Medical Center Hospital. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Ford is also a member of the Capital District Pediatric Society. In addition, Dr. Ford serves on the Board of Directors for Mohawk Valley Medical Associates and the Center for Disability Services. Dr. Ford has been voted one of the Best Doctors in the Capital Region since 2007.

Dr. Constance GlasgowCapitalCare Pediatrics Clifton Park

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Glasgow is an attending physician at The Ellis-Bellevue Hospital complex in Schenectady. She served as Chief of Newborn Services at Bellevue from 1986-2003. Dr. Glasgow is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American Women's Medical Association, the Medical Society of the State of New York and the Schenectady County Medical Society. She is also a member of the Ethics Committee at Ellis Hospital and on the Board of Trustees of Schuyler Ridge at Seton Health.

Dr. Lorraine LemonsCapitalCare Pediatrics Albany

After graduating with honors from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Lemons entered her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Following this, she was a member of the faculty of Albany Medical College in the Department of Ambulatory Pediatrics for three years before joining CapitalCare Pediatrics Albany of Community Care. As Assistant Professor, Dr. Lemons served as a mentor to medical students and residents in general pediatrics, and coordinated adolescent medicine services and resident education for the Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Neil Mitnick Albany Family Medicine

Dr. Mitnick recieved his Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University before earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from UMDNJ – School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Michael MorinCapitalCare Pediatrics Albany

After graduating from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Morin entered the Combined Pediatrics/Internal Medicine Residency Program at Albany Medical Center, and achieved board certification in both specialties. He then served one year as Chief Resident in Pediatrics before joining the Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. Morin’s advocacy activities include working with Albany County Head Start, the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Smile Train, Friends of Five Rivers, the Salvation Army and the Albany Institute of History and Art.

Dr. Lee ShapiroCommunity Care Rheumatology Saratoga 

Dr. Shapiro is Chief Medical Officer of the Steffens Scleroderma Foundation, a locally based organization supporting research in Scleroderma and Degos Disease. He now operates The Scleroderma Center at Community Care Rheumatology, is the medical advisor for the Capital District Support Group of Scleroderma Foundation, and a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Scleroderma Foundation Tri-State. Dr. Shapiro has also authored many peer-reviewed publications and has had several honors and awards for his work in medicine.

Specializing in Pediatrics for more than 25 years.  Dr. Sonnekalb earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College, where he also completed his residency training.  Dr. Sonnekalb serves as Co-Director of Pediatric Education fro the Ellis Hospital Family Practice Residency Program. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Sonnekalb was voted one of the Best Doctors in the Capital Region in 2005 to present and was featured in Capital Region Living Magazine.
