Meet Tanya M. Powell, AGNP-C
A lifelong resident of Troy, NY, Tanya brings a personal and deeply compassionate approach to her work, shaped by both her own experience with breast cancer and a childhood spent watching her mother manage chronic illness. These powerful life experiences led Tanya to pursue a career where she could guide other women through their own health journeys with empathy, honesty, and expertise. Tanya earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Russell Sage College, right in her hometown, and holds certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a proud member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health—reflecting her commitment to advancing women’s wellness, particularly in the areas of menopause and sexual health. At the core of Tanya’s practice is the belief that effective healthcare goes far beyond symptom management. She focuses on helping her patients feel like themselves again, restoring peace of mind and improving quality of life through evidence-based, individualized care. Known for building strong, lasting relationships with her patients, Tanya takes the time to learn their stories, their goals, and what truly matters to them.
