CCP’s Niskayuna Urgent Care to move, consolidate with Latham Urgent Care
Niskayuna, NY (July 30, 2018) — Community Care Physicians (CCP) has announced the move of its Niskayuna Urgent Care location to Latham, as it consolidates staff and services with CCP’s Latham Urgent Care effective August 1, 2018. Relocating Niskayuna Urgent Care, currently located at 2125 River Road, allows CCP to further develop its Latham Urgent Care Center, offering expanded services and longer hours than it had in Niskayuna.
“CCP is exploring new ways to deliver urgent care as we see a greater proliferation of Centers in the area,” says Joan Regan Hayner, CPA, CMPE, Chief Operating Officer of Community Care Physicians. “It’s beneficial to our patients if we focus on a few key locations, or ‘super Centers’, that can best serve our communities with greater access to an expanded list of services in a walk-in, cost effective setting.”
Latham Urgent Care, which opened in 2000, is located in the large Capital Region Health Park, about 8 miles from the former Niskayuna Center. Town residents can easily get to the Latham location, which offers day, late weeknight (until 11:30pm), weekend and holiday hours. While CCP encourages patients to utilize primary care offices for their first point of access for care, the Urgent Care Centers support patients when their doctor’s office isn’t immediately available. “Using CCP’s Urgent Care is convenient for any patient, but it is even more convenient for existing patients of CCP, since all of our practices share the same electronic health system and records pertaining to the urgent care visit are immediately available to the patient’s primary care provider.” Plus, using CCP’s Urgent Care Center can help save the time and cost related to an unnecessary ER visit.
Latham Urgent Care offers a full scope of services, including but not limited to: care for cold/flu, allergies, UTI, URI, STD, infections, asthma, rule out fractures, plaster splinting until orthopedics follow-up, stitches and minor laceration repair, workers compensation, no fault, STAT and non-STAT lab testing, and X-ray services. Additional services are being evaluated to offer in the future. Latham Urgent Care is located at 711 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 11:30pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am to 7:30pm; and holidays 10am to 4:30pm.
