Dr. Susan Demarest is a board-certified internist specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Dr. Demarest completed her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and her residency and fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Demarest has a particular interest in general endocrinology and diabetes.

Dr. Demarest grew up with friends whose parents are doctors and always relished the idea of taking care of people and developing long-term relationships with patients. She loves seeing people improve their health and helping them achieve their goals. Dr. Demarest believes approaching patients’ health from their point of view and guiding them to improve their overall quality of life is most important. She aims to provide compassionate care long-term with each of her patients.

Dr. Demarest enjoys hiking, going outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter in her spare time.
