Community Care Physicians (CCP) did not have a security incident. Our systems were not compromised.
Change Healthcare, which was previously a payment processing vendor for our billing system, Veradigm, did have a security incident. This past relationship is why CCP was named in letters our patients received.

Priya Jayakumar

MD

Biography

Dr. Priya Jayakumar is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and completed a general surgery internship and residency at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Jayakumar completed her training with a vascular surgery fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. She began her studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology.

Dr. Jayakumar is originally from Yonkers but came to the Capital District for undergraduate and medical school. After spending four years as an attending surgeon and the Assistant Program Director of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, she is happy to be ‘home’ in the Albany area, treating patients at Vascular Health Partners. She appreciates and values the collaborative effort required to provide quality healthcare to patients. Dr. Jayakumar is fluent in Tamil (a south Indian dialect). She treats patients at Glens Falls Hospital, Albany Medical Center, and Saratoga Hospital. Dr. Jayakumar is an experienced surgeon in all vascular procedures and is particularly interested in peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease/stroke prevention, and aneurysmal disease.

Dr. Jayakumar believes vascular surgery is a wonderful field because it has the instant gratification of a procedural field with the additional benefit of developing lifelong relationships with patients. She has published papers on clinical outcomes in vascular surgery and has won multiple teaching awards. Dr. Jayakumar believes educating patients about their condition is essential for quality care. What she loves most about being a vascular surgeon is being able to improve someone’s quality of life.
