Olivia Bransky is a certified family nurse practitioner. She is a member of the National Association of Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also certified in electronic fetal monitoring. Olivia received her Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY. She began her nursing studies at Maria College in Albany, NY, earning her associate’s degree. Olivia is interested in all aspects of women’s health, including annual care, guiding patients throughout pregnancy, and finding solutions to other concerns.

During high school, Olivia took a certified nursing assistant course, which opened her eyes to the world of healthcare and the impact nurses can have on patient care. Throughout her years as a labor and delivery nurse, she always cherished the moments of encouraging, educating, and celebrating with patients and their families in life’s most special moments. Part of the reason she wanted to become a nurse practitioner is to be able to provide and maintain that continuity of care with her patients throughout all of their life milestones.

Olivia’s love for her job is evident in her dedication to patient education and empowerment. She believes that effective communication and a holistic view of patients is of the utmost importance. Understanding the uniqueness of each patient, she tailors their care plans accordingly. Olivia’s philosophy is clear: “I aim to create an environment where patients feel safe and heard. Shared decision-making between the patient and provider is crucial in healthcare. I want patients to feel validated, educated, and empowered to make healthcare decisions that align with their goals.”

Olivia is originally from the Capital Region and wanted to provide care to the community where she grew up. Outside of working as a nurse practitioner, she is passionate about nursing education and teaches at a local nursing school.
