Biography

Lisa Raymond began her healthcare career at the age of 18. She initially worked as an aide in local hospitals and assisted living facilities before becoming a medical assistant in a doctor’s office. In 2011, Lisa graduated from Capital Region Career & Technical School with a degree in Adult Practical Nursing. She spent five years at Stratton VA Hospital, focusing on treating veterans suffering from substance abuse disorders and trauma. Following that, Lisa worked in Family Medicine at Community Care for over ten years.

Lisa’s motivation to pursue a healthcare career comes from her passion to care for individuals who cannot or are unable to care for themselves and help people improve their overall quality of life. She finds joy in putting a smile on someone’s face during difficult times and being a source of comfort for those who feel alone in their struggles. Her ability to support others has significantly influenced her fulfillment as a nurse.

Lisa has a strong interest in holistic healing and nutrition. She believes listening is essential so that people feel heard and their needs are prioritized. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of addressing underlying issues that can lead to various health problems, focusing on a whole-person approach to facilitate healing from the inside out. Her goal is always to make a positive impact on someone’s life, regardless of their circumstances.

Born and raised in Colonie, Lisa is actively involved in the Missions Ministry at her local church. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, food preservation, cooking, baking, camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and their three dogs.
