John O’Bryan

Biography

Dr. John O’Bryan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a member of the NYS Academy of Family Physicians, a member of the Rensselaer County Medical Society, serves on the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Safety Committee and the NYSPHAA Concussion Management Team. He received his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, in 1985. Dr. O’Bryan completed his family medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY, in 1988 and has been practicing medicine in the Capital Region area ever since. He began his studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, earning his Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1981. Outside work, he is a Troy-Albany Youth Hockey Association board member. Dr. O’Bryan enjoys bicycling, hiking, boating, traveling, and classic cars.
