Colin Meagher received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from The State University of New York at Cortland in Cortland, New York.
Colin always knew he wanted to be involved in the medical field; he didn’t know that was being a physician assistant until halfway through his undergraduate studies. He first started with physical therapy in mind, which is why he studied kinesiology. Colin has always been fascinated with improving one’s health through disease prevention, exercise, and nutrition. During his sophomore year of college, he had the opportunity to shadow a physician assistant and fell in love with the profession. Colin loves the variety of care you can provide as a physician assistant, including his interest in nutrition and exercise. Talking to patients and helping them in any way possible is what he loves most about working in family medicine.
Outside of medicine, Colin enjoys hiking, biking, and running. During his spare time, he keeps busy with his family, two sons, and friends.
