Biography

I trust in my training, experience, and instincts—but most importantly, I trust in my patients. Each encounter is a chance to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that’s truly centered on the person in front of me.

Bridget Carnivale is a board-certified, compassionate, and deeply driven family nurse practitioner with a unique blend of clinical expertise, personal experience, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. Specializing in developmental pediatrics, Bridget brings not only medical training but also profound empathy and insight—shaped in part by her journey as a mother navigating her own son’s autism diagnosis.

Originally from Long Island, Bridget first came to the Capital Region to attend Siena College in Loudonville, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology. After discovering a love for building meaningful relationships through her in-home pet-sitting business, she pursued a second bachelor’s degree in nursing from Utica College through an accelerated program. She later completed her master’s degree at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY.

Bridget’s calling to healthcare came into sharp focus in 2017, during her first month in nursing school, when her father experienced a serious health scare. Witnessing the impact of compassionate, skillful primary care during that time solidified her path in medicine and inspired her to pursue further education, ultimately becoming a nurse practitioner.

Bridget finds fulfillment in truly listening to her patients, understanding their stories, and identifying solutions that meet the unique needs of each individual and family. Her holistic care philosophy centers on building trust, removing assumptions, and focusing on communication, respect, and evidence-based care.

Bridget has a special passion for working with children with developmental disorders and advocating for early intervention. Her personal journey—balancing motherhood, nursing school, and her son’s autism diagnosis—drives her mission to support families through challenging decisions with empathy, education, and insight. Whether she’s offering clinical guidance, educating patients, or simply listening, Bridget’s goal is clear: to provide supportive, judgment-free care that empowers patients and families to thrive.
Outside of medicine, Bridget is an active volunteer with Best Buddies International and is currently learning American Sign Language. She enjoys cooking, gardening, puzzles, and traveling with her family.
