Community Care Physical Therapy welcomes two new physical therapists to the practice; Amanda Laskey, PT, DPT, cert. MDT and Amber Thornton, PT, DPT, cert. MDT.
Amanda Laskey, PT, DPT, cert. MDT
Amanda graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Biology from SUNY Geneseo in 2007 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2010. She is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) by the McKenzie Institute. Amanda is passionate about using MDT to evaluate and treat patients with spinal and extremity conditions. She also enjoys working with patients with a variety of neurological, vestibular, and balance dysfunctions.
Amber Thornton, PT, DPT, cert. MDT
After graduating with her doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2014, Amber returned to the Capital District where she grew up to start her career. She continued her education by earning a certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute (MDT). Amber continues to further her education and treat patients with evidence-based treatment. She has a special interest in treating a number of orthopedic conditions as well as balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
