Women's Health at CCP

May 13th marks the beginning of National Women’s Health Week. This week, Community Care Physicians encourages women to take steps to improve their health and remember to make their health a priority. We have several offices located throughout the Capital Region that are dedicated to women’s health and wellness. Learn more about our services to see if one of our offices may be the perfect fit for you!

Primary Care

One of the most important doctors to see are primary care practitioners (PCP). Their role is to keep you healthy and help you when you’re sick. It’s important to establish a relationship with a PCP and to make sure you see them annually for check-ups. They will make sure all your vitals are at healthy levels and that you’re up-to-date on all your vaccines. Additionally, your PCP can routinely address urinary tract infections, yeast, infections, diagnose and treat sexually transmitted diseases, conduct regular preventive screenings and exams, and help manage menstrual disorders. If you are in need of a PCP, we have primary care offices located throughout the Capital Region. For assistance with finding the location that will best meet your needs, call our Concierge Care Coordinator at (518) 782-3800.

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Gynecology is women’s care that specifically focuses on your reproductive health. It is also important to get annual women exams as your physician will screen you for various cancers and diseases. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have in a safe and comfortable environment. Obstetrics services would be used when you are expecting a baby. Typically, these physicians will handle both obstetrics and gynecology, but not always. So it’s important to find out when seeing this type of care.

CCP is pleased to have several OB/GYN offices who are experts in this form of women’s care.
